Wound Care Nurse Practitioner – Houston, Texas

Location: Houston, Texas

Reports To: Administrator/MD

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive wound care assessments and treatments independently and in collaboration with supervising physician
Perform procedures such as debridement, wound dressing changes, and ordering diagnostics
Manage patient care plans including chronic wound management, follow-ups, and documentation in compliance with Texas Medical Board standards
Coordinate with other healthcare providers and clinic staff for integrated patient care
Maintain documentation in EMR and ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
Participate in clinic operations, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives


Requirements:

Active RN license and Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (preferably in Adult, Family, or Gerontology).
Wound care certification preferred (e.g., WCC, CWCN, or equivalent)
Ability to work independently with physician oversight
